I was inspired to practice acupuncture after experiencing the profound impact of treatment on my own health. I am also qualified in nutrition and naturopathic techniques.
I have 30 years experience of direct therapeutic work with adults and children, including work in adoption. I trained as a doula with Michel Odent.
Mothering has been a great joy for me and I have been privileged to help many others achieve the same, through all the stages from pre-conceptual care, through pregnancy and birth, to the experience of parenting.
After initial training with Zita West in using acupuncture in fertility, I have undertaken further training in this area with many respected professionals in the medical and acupuncture fields. Working at Midland Fertility Services, alongside medical staff and embryologists has given me a depth of knowledge and experience of the tests and treatments involved, and the emotional issues and stresses.
I have experience of treating women and couples through IUI (intrauterine insemination) IVF (in vitro fertilisation), and ICSI (intra cytoplasmic sperm injection), frozen embryo transfers and egg and sperm donation. I have also worked with those using surrogacy and others having complex investigations and treatments due to genetic issues.
I have treated women and couples from most of the Midlands fertility units, including Nottingham Care, Birmingham Women’s Hospital, The Priory, Birmingham, Coventry Centre for Reproductive Medicine, St Jude’s Wolverhampton, as well as several London clinics, and those going abroad.
